Do you want to help someone in need? Hannah Thomas will be holding a clothing drive to help parents who have children in the Hematology/Oncology Clinic at Mott children’s Hospital. She will be collecting new underwear and pajamas for them. Apparently many young children have accidents and / or get sick to their stomach after surgery or Bone marrow transplants. This often happens when they come to the clinic. Many parents, especially those that have children over three don’t think to bring changes of clothing with them to the clinic. Parents have so much on their minds when this journey begins clothing is probably low on the list. The nurses collect these items and give them out as needed. They are only allowed to except new items as this is hospital policy. To assist Hannah in this wonderful project, we will have a collection box set up in the hallway for you to put your items in. This is a great project to get your own kids involved in. Let them pick out some fun undies and pajamas to donate, from one child to another!

🎵 🎶 🎶 MUSIC NOTES 🎵🎶🎶 🎵
Choir and bell choir are up and running! Please consider joining, all are welcome and it is a fun and exciting environment to sing, ring, and explore the rich history of church music. Bell Choir rehearses Thursdays at 6:30, and Vocal Choir rehearses
at 7:30 on Thursdays.
This morning’s musical point of interest: Many thanks to our Andrew Johnson for playing trumpet for us this Palm Sunday, as we perform music by living composers from Spain and Italy. As we progress through this holy week, listen to how the music compliments the texts, and the way in which various composers respond to themes of Jesus’ sacrifice.
Upcoming Music Events:
April 1st, 10AM: Celebrate Easter with us with splendid organ music, a terrific brass quintet, and the St. James Choir presenting Alan Hovhaness’ Alleluia.
May 10, 7PM: Celebrate the Ascension and St. James’ 150th Anniversary with a special evensong service, presenting Charles Villers Stanford’s Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis, with soprano Kate Pomrenke and tenor Paul Primeau.
May 19, 7:30PM: Our last music event of the year is going to be a blast, as Kalindi Bellach performs a recital of music by J.S. Bach, Shulamit Ran, and Paul Hindemith.
