HELP DECORATE FOR VBS TODAY after the 10am service! We’ll meet in Galloway Hall where our Children’s Ministries director, Andrea Watson, will share decorations to be placed creatively. Thank you!
A BARELY USED MATTRESS is available from a neighbor of Fr. Phil’s. It’s apparently from a guest bedroom. It’s a Queen-sized memory foam mattress with a box spring. Reach out to Fr. Phil to learn more.
THE GROSSE ILE BOAR’S HEAD FESTIVAL is a community celebration of Christmas with hundreds of parts that are great for individuals, kids, and families. You get to wear costumes, go to a few rehearsals, and participate in the biggest Christmas Pageant of your life. We have roles for shepherds and kings, for attendants, beefeaters, choirs for adults and children, angels, solos, dancers, and more! Plus there are vitally important behind-the-scenes roles, like helping to build the set, corrale the cast, put on make-up, and more. Sign up at BoarsHeadGi.com/volunteer and you’ll be contacted in early September. It’s great fun, and it only comes around every 4 years. Don’t miss out on this amazing Island-wide opportunity!
THE SIMSONIAN 5K/1MILE RUN is being held on August 19, 2023, hosted by the Grosse Ile Educational Foundation. For information and registration go to www.runsignup.com.

CAN YOU HELP WITH ICE CREAM SUNDAYS after a 10am service? It involves 3 things: 1) Either before the service or after communion (take communion first), move some ice cream treats from the standup freezer in the middle rummage room into the cooler and the cart standing next to it. 2) Fill up a clear reservoir with ice water in the kitchen and place it on the cart with some paper or plastic cups. 3) Push the cart to the front parking lot at the end of the service and put it all away after 20 minutes or so. This is a HUGE SERVICE to all our members, plus the kids especially love it! Look for the sign-up calendar near the kitchen and thank you!
SUNDAY SERVICES ARE RECORDED and posted in high quality on YouTube every Sunday afternoon. Check YouTube.com/saintjamesgi
