SIGN UP TO WATCH WITH JESUS in the chapel on the night of Maundy Thursday and morning of Good Friday. The sign-up sheet is on the window of the Main Office. Each hour has two spots. We’ll provide warmth, a lit candle, Holy Communion, and spiritual books to join you. Sign up on the sheet on the main office window.
WRITE & SHARE A MEDITATION ON GOOD FRIDAY As part of the service we need 7 parishioners to each prepare a mediation on one of “The Seven Last Words of Christ.” Fr. Phil will give you all the support you need. The sign up sheet is on the main office window.
HOLY SATURDAY FOR KIDS is an Easter Egg spectacular, with a craft, snack, egg hunt, and Easter story. Every household gets a special gift valued at $22! Tell your kids and their friends to come to church on Saturday, March 30, at 10:30am!

THE SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY on the Book of Ephesians continues this morning in the Fireplace Room from 9:05-9:50am. This is a drop-in study. No prep needed, just come!
THE RONDO STRING QUARTET joins the 10am service this week. Allison Rhodes, the first violinist, holds degrees from Florida State University; she is the Orchestra Director of Oakland Christian School and enjoys playing with Meadowbrook Theater. Lisa Saluk, second violin, graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in Violin performance and a Master’s Degree in Music Education; she works in the Oxford Community Schools and maintains a private studio of violin students. Jessica Zelenskyy, on viola, is a graduate of Michigan State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in music performance and a teaching certificate; she also plays with the Midland Symphony, the Macomb Symphony Orchestra, and subs with other symphonies in the Detroit area. Kim Borgert, on cello, graduated from Michigan State University in Music Education as a Strings Specialist; she studied with the Juilliard String Quartet and has experience as the Principal cellist of the Southfield Symphony and Livonia Symphony. Welcome!
THE MIRACLE MAKER is the Jesus film we will watch on Wednesday of Holy Week. It is roundly hailed as brilliant, beautiful, and poetic. Best of all it’s great for kids! The church provides Pizza, so all you have to do is come and see. On Wednesday, March 27, the movie starts at 6:30 p.m. in Galloway Hall on the big screen.

INTERFAITH COUNCIL – Christnet is returning to Grosse Ile the week of March 31st to April 7th. Christnet is program that provides food and shelter to Downriver homeless people. Each of Grosse Ile’s churches are responsible for at least one night. St. James will provide dinner and supervision on Monday, April 1. St. If you are willing to help out there is a sign up sheet on the Interfaith bulletin board. Thank you in advance😀! The 30 guests arrive about 6:30pm, eat dinner, participate in an activity/or not, sleep and return to warming center in Taylor at 6:30am. FIRST COMMUNIONS will happen on Sunday, April 14. Classes for First Communion are for student’s 2nd grade and older. They are held during the first half of the service in a hallway classroom.
LENT POTLUCKS AND PROGRAM continue this Wednesday. Come at 6:15pm if you want to join a 15-minute chapel service of Evening Prayer. The potluck starts at 6:30pm in Galloway Hall. A program led by Fr. Phil begins at 7:10. Potluck hosts are: CHOIRS -Mar 13; VESTRY-Mar 20. Bring your own place settings if desired.
THE SACRED HEART FOOD PANTRY is an island-wide ministry that all churches contribute to. Place shelf-stable & nourishing food items in the labeled basket by the Resource Table and we’ll get them to Sacred Heart.

LENT MADNESS IS ON! Who will win the Golden Halo? Each day of Lent features a matchup of two historical saints. On Lentmadness.org you can read about each saint and vote on who is most saintly. Their life stories are very encouraging.
