Flower and Music Memorials and Honorariums Due This Sunday Honor your loved ones on Easter Morning with fresh potted lilies and exultant music. Names of loved ones will be printed in each Easter Bulletin. Today is the last day to fill out the golden bulletin inserts and return to the office.
Children’s Easter Gathering is Saturday morning, April 4, at 10:30 am. Come for Eggs, stories, crafts, and food.
The Nightwatch Vigil is an opportunity to respond to Jesus’ call to “watch and pray with me.” It runs all night from Maundy Thursday’s service to our Good Friday service at 1pm. Can you watch and pray in the chapel for one hour?

Stone Soup Join us as we tell the old folk tale of making delicious soup from what we have. Holy Monday Evening Prayer (March 30 at 6PM) will be followed by Stone Soup at 6:15. Please bring no more than 1cup fresh vegetables to add to our stone and broth for enhancement. A stone and broth doth not a good soup make. You may put it labeled in the refrigerator on Sunday or drop it off on Monday. Fresh bread, coffee and tea will also be served Come join us!

Hallelujah Hymns Our next Celebration of Song Hymn Sing will be Sunday, April 19th at 3pm and feature timeless hymns which honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Refreshments will follow.
Grosse Ile Nature and Land Conservancy Earth Day Programs Wednesday April, 26th 6:30-9pm at Saint James you can learn about healthy, environmentally sound lawn care and how to identify, measure and register heritage trees. The event is free, but please RSVP at ginlc.gi@gmail.com or 734-671-0125.

Fr. Phil’s Open Office Hours are every Tuesday from 4:30-6:30pm. These are open drop-in hours, so you do not need an appointment. These meetings are usually 30 minutes or less. For a longer meeting call or email ahead to schedule a time.

- From 11:30 p.m. – 4 a.m. to staff the warming center, and prepare lunches for guests to be distributed after breakfast.
- From 3:30 a.m. – 8 a.m. to staff warming center, awaken guests, serve breakfast, distribute lunches, cleanup, wash towels.
- Provide side dishes & dessert for dinner.
Sunday, April 19th
- At 6:30 a.m. to help tear down, pack up, clean or go to the Laundromat to wash bedding. The more who volunteer the quicker the work is done.

Christnet,, a warming shelter, will help approximately 30 homeless people, by providing dinner, a place to sleep, and breakfast in the morning. The Grosse Ile Presbyterian church will be housing our guests. Every island church hosts the event for one night. This year St. James’ is responsible for Monday night, April 13th. Thank you for your help!
