Buildings and Grounds Work has been constantly underway throughout the first four months of 2015. Projects have included: 1) Fixing and painting the cracked walls and ceiling of our library; 2) Replacing the collapsed sewer pipe from the handicapped bathroom and main kitchen with PVC; 3) Carpeting the Minister of Music’s office through the vesting room; 4) Upgrading the spotlights and floodlights in the main sanctuary and on the north side of the building to LEDs, saving $300-$500 a year in electricity and bulbs; 5) Adding an inside spotlight to the chapel to improve visibility; 6) Repairing the fallen wall at East River Road (bids range from $5,000 to $20,000!); 7) Repairing the boiler igniter; 8) Completing the asphalt work in the north parking lot; and 9) Exploring options to fix the potholes in the back (west) parking lot. Generous gifts to “The Crowley Fund” support all capital repairs and improvements. Thank you for supporting this fund.
