VBS is COMING
Adults & Kids, Register!

VBS REGISTRATION for kids and teens is found at saintjamesgi.net The week will be Monday thru Friday, July 29-August 2. It’s going to be a lot of wonderful fun!

ADULT VBS HELPERS, please call Erin at 313-407-6249 or email her at eshelton@gmail.com and Erin can let you know where we still need volunteers. Thank You!

ERICA BENSON will be preaching at both services next Sunday, July 21. Come see Erica, Tom & Henry!

A PURSE FOR JIM JOHNSON is being collected as a Thank You for his 6 years of ministry at Saint James. You can write a check to “Saint James” and mark on a sticky note, the check, and/or the envelope that it is for “JIM’S PURSE.” We’ll pool the money and give him a single gift at a celebration later this summer.

WHAT IS A BLESSING BOX? Keep your eyes on this space because Saint James is going to have a Blessing Box very soon, and you’ll be shocked how cool it is!

THE NEW ASPHALT IS STILL SOFT If you twist your steering wheel while standing still you can grind holes into the new parking lot. Yikes! Please try to get your car moving before turning your wheel. Thank youu

COVID IS BACK ON THE RISE, so please monitor your health and stay home if you feel ill. This variant is supposedly super-catchy and very unpleasant. If you get COVID we recommend you visit the doctor, as there are medications that may shorten your illness if taken early enough.

SIGN UP TO HOST THE ICE CREAM CART just inside the main entry way on the magnetic board. You can load up the cooler before church and push it out to the sidewalk. After church when everyone has their ice cream you would push it back in and put the ice cream away.

OUR ANNUAL FINANCIAL AUDIT will be slightly delayed due to an unexpected surgery for Charlotte.  She will be fine, but would like everyone to know it will start as soon as she is up and about.  She has a few people who have volunteered to help but the more that help the faster it goes.  Let us know if you would like to help out!  No experience necessary!

LOOKING FOR SOMETHING FUN TO DO?   Every Sunday night at 7pm there will be a free concert on the commons until the end of August. End your weekend with wonderful music!

HELP WITH BRASS – Have you ever thought of working behind-the-scenes to make things shine? Then brass duty is for you. We are in need of some help in that department. You never have to work alone, it’s Two Thursdays in a row, every few months.(Just a couple hours). If you’re interested in helping Saint James look their best, please notify Diane Mammo or Gwen Douglas and we will get you on the schedule. Training is provided. Thank you in advance.
