TODAY WE WRAP UP SUNDAY SCHOOLThank you, kids and teachers, for a great year!

SUMMER SERVICES OUTSIDE start next week, June 10, at 10am. We gather in the shade on the front parking lot facing the river. Folding chairs will be available, but bring your own folding chair if you prefer. If it is raining or below 65 degrees, we will hold services in the chapel.

MEN’S GROUP BREAKFAST is Saturday, June 10. We meet in Galloway Hall at 8am to cook and 9am to eat!

THE ECW BOARD MEEITNG will be held on June 11th at 11:15 am.

THE POST RUMMAGE MEETING is set for June 12th, at 1:00 pm in Galloway Hall.

THE NEXT ECW GENERAL MEETING is set for June 18th at 11:15 am after church service.

OUTDOOR WILDERNESS LIVING IS OFFERING free classes for the congregation kids 10-17 years of age.  Contact Burdett Milkins 734-790-4942 for more information.  Classes start on June 10th.

HELP SET UP THE 10AM OUTSIDE SERVICE by coming to the main sanctuary at 9:30am. Together we will carry out a table for communion, set up the sound system speakers, push out the folding chairs cart and move the mobile piano. Just show up at 9:30 or speak to Fr. Phil or Jim Johnson, our Minister of Music.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be held on Monday – Friday mornings, July 24-28. Save the date, tell your friends, and look for more information about online registration to come!

ELIZABETH PERK IS PROVIDING COLD BREW COFFEE THIS MORNING in Galloway Hall following both services. If you haven’t paid them a visit yet … DO!  “To die for” hot coffee,
cold brew coffee, espresso, and espresso drinks, and also delicious Guernsey ice cream in cones, sundaes, shakes, malts, and affogatos (espresso shots over ice cream)! HANDY CRAFTERS UNITE Join us if you have any portable craft and want to share it with others: knitting, embroidery, calligraphy, etc. We’ll focus on our crafts and great fellowship. We meet monthly on the first and third Wednesdays, from 1pm-3pm at 8187 Grays Drive, #B1 in the Grays Village condos. Contact Mary Shelton at 734-215-5113 or mary@mshelton.net to reserve a seat.  Bring your own refreshments. CAN YOU HELP WITH THE ANNUAL AUDIT? Charlotte Campeau is looking for volunteers. No experience is needed! Reach out to Charlotte or Colleen in the office if you are interested.

THE BOTTOMS UP DIAPER BANK annual drive is on June 10th at Kroger from 10 to 4. If you would like to make a baby diaper donation, you can bring them to church and place them in the basket in the hall by the office anytime or drop them off at Kroger on June 10th.  To make a monetary donation, please make the check out to Grosse Ile Presbyterian Church with a notation of “Bottoms Up Diaper Bank”, 7925 Horsemill Road, Grosse Ile 48138.  Diapers are distributed to registered families through Fish and Loaves Food Pantry in Taylor. If you have any questions ask Jane Colwell (734-612-1222) or Sue Lowery (734-771-2503), St. James Interfaith Council Representatives.

CHRISTIAN MYSTICISM is the subject of our current video/discussion series being held in the River Room on Thursday mornings at 10:30am.

WEEKLY “SAINT’S STORIES” SERVICES are held in the chapel on Wednesdays at 10:15am. An optional potluck lunch follows.

DEDICATE SUNDAY FLOWERS in memory of a loved one, perhaps on the date they died or on their birthday. There are several open dates available on the Flower Chart for 2023 located in the hallway near the office. The recommended donation is $50, which covers two arrangements used at the 8am and 10am services.
