“THE MIRACLE MAKER” is the Jesus movie we will watch this HOLY WEDNESDAY in Galloway Hall. It is roundly hailed as brilliant, beautiful, and poetic. It’s also great for kids! The church will provide pizza, so all you have to do is come and see. The movie starts at 6:30 p.m. in Galloway Hall on the big screen.
THE MAUNDY THURSDAY POTLUCK/SERVICE begins this Thursday at 6:30 pm and will last less than an hour.
THE GOOD FRIDAY SERVICE with short parishioner meditations and a sermon by Fr. Phil begins this Friday at 1pm in the chapel.
THE ALL-NIGHT VIGIL held between Maundy Thursday and Good Friday still has several openings. Sign up on the window of the main office to watch and pray with Jesus for one hour.
HOLY SATURDAY FOR KIDZ! is an Easter Weekend spectacular, held this Saturday at 10:30 am! With an Easter Egg Hunt, Craft, Snack, and story, you get the full Easter experience in under an hour. PLUS, every household gets an Easter gift valued at $20! Bring all the kids you know!
WOMEN’S HISTORY MOVIE In celebration of Women’s History Month, Kate Hartwell is organizing a movie and lunch Red Doors outing to see the movie “Cabrini” tomorrow, March 25th. It’s a wonderful chance to socialize, discuss the film’s themes, and enjoy a lovely meal together. Contact Kate for more information.
ECLIPSE PARTY AND ROAD TRIP! The Saint James Steeplechasers have been invited to celebrate the solar eclipse with Eclipsopalians at Trinity Episcopal Church in Toledo on Monday, April 8 at their “Totality at Trinity” party. The church sanctuary is quite spectacular, a potluck lunch will be served, and there is a glorious outdoor plaza for gazing up at the sun through your Saint James solar eclipse glasses. We plan to get an early start in hopes of avoiding traffic congestion and parking problems — the church is offering us free parking in the attached parking garage, and there is an entrance to the church from the garage. The solar eclipse timeline begins a little before 2:00 p.m., and the moon completely covers the sun for a couple minutes starting at 3:13 p.m. — see the solar eclipse timeline for Cleveland below. THE NEXT MEN’S GROUP BREAKFAST is Sat, April 6th at the St. James Galloway Kitchen & Hall. We always have a great time sharing Stories, Memories, Prayer, and our development towards a higher awareness of Christ. Come at 8am for the cooking, 9am for eating and discussion!

CHRISTNET IS RETURNING TO GROSSE ILE the week of Mar 31-Apr 7. Christnet provides food and shelter to Downriver homeless people through a rotating collection of churches. During Grosse Ile’s week, each church is responsible for at least one night. St. James is providing dinner and supervision on Monday, April 1. Please sign up on the Interfaith bulletin board in the main hallway. Thank you in advance😀! The guests arrive about 6:30pm, eat dinner, participate in an activity/or not, sleep and return to warming center in Taylor at 6:30am.
