Prayers Needed for Jimmy Brock, age 20, who is in ICU at Trenton Beaumont recovering from a very serious car accident. If you would like to send a card of cheer there is a basket in the office for cards. Jimmy (and his mom Karen & sister Kate) have a long haul ahead. Let’s give them our St. James support. PS. Jimmy is a student at MSU.
Coffee Hour – In order for the Coffee Hours to continue, we need volunteers to make and serve the coffee. Someone usually gets the coffee going, but people are needed to serve and cleanup and bring light refreshments (Kroger cookies will do). Anyone is welcome to bring some treats that can be frozen or saved for another time. Of course, help for cleanup is always appreciated. Please take a turn hosting this time for fellowship. Look for the signup sheet on the table in Galloway Hall or see Joan Hemsworth
Service Recordings Our weekly 8am worship services are available online. Find them on our website saintjamesgi.net under the “Media” tab, or at youtube.com/user/saintjamesgi which is YouTube’s main site. Services are available live and for later viewing. This effort is especially for our sick, our homebound, Sunday School teachers, and others who cannot easily attend worship. Note, some 8am service attendees may briefly appear on video.
Table Talk Early polling results are in. A number of you have shared with me that conversations across the church’s 6′ round tables in Galloway Hall are difficult. Can you hear me now?! LOL In the coming months the church’s rectangular tables may be used to see what everyone thinks of them. The 6′ and 8′ rectangular tables are a valuable resource at Saint James and serve many roles, but a few of you have said that you think that their plastic tops have a utilitarian look. That may be true, but they seat 6 and 8 respectively, and 1 more at each end if needed or desired, and they are easy to talk across. So, what is the answer? If new tables for Galloway Hall should become a future discussion point there is an exciting table option that can be explored. If you haven’t done so already, please let me know what your thoughts are about tables. David Hartwell dhartwell4@yahoo.com 313 318-9009

Gluten-Free Wafers are always available at communion. Just ask.
Secretary Office Hours: Colleen is in the office Tue-Thur 9-2, & Fri 9-12.

Nancy Clark on her 80 years in ECW!
Pruning Class
Dear family,
We have come to the end of the 2018-2019 ECW year. I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to thank both Erica Benson and Natalia Morris Baker for honorably completing their two-year ECW terms of leadership. This last year Erica served as the ECW Vice President and worked tirelessly on programming and organization for the ECW. Erica served the board with a bright personality and a depth of wisdom. I think her laughter will forever ring in board meetings. Erica, thank you so much for bringing your gifts to the table and serving so well. We look forward to your leadership in the children’s program at St James in the upcoming year.
Natalia, thank you for your faithfulness as the ECW secretary this year. You were committed; you were a voice of reason and kindness for the board and the general membership. Natalia’s out reach to the world is second to none. We look forward to welcoming Jeremiah to the family of St James and watching your new family life evolve. Thank you so much for bringing your voice and heart to the table.
To both Erica and Natalia, thank you! Thank you for the many ministries you serve in the church. Thank you for your commitment. Thank you for just being you! Well done!
Colleen Lough
ECW President 2018-2019
Thanks for all you have done!
