All Saint’s Day
The Rose on the Altar is for little Baby Henry Matthew Folding, who was born on October 25. 2018. He was born to Matt and Stacey Folding, and proud grandparents Greg and Diane Larkin!
We Welcome In Baptism – James Bernardo Allen is the son of AJ and Vanessa Allen, grandson of Collie Yan, close relative of the entire Johnson Family, and new brother in Christ to us all. Congratulations! A special coffee hour reception has been planned in James’ honor.
Coffee is Coffee … unless you are a Saint James Coffee Club member, in which case Bali Blue Moon, Brazil Santos, Honduras Silver Hills, Marrakesh Blend, Rainforest Crunch, and Sumatra Black Satin are some of the coffees that “speak to you”. Go to http://www.coffeeam.com, look over these member favorites as well as others, and then place a coffee order by noon on Monday, November 5 with David Hartwell / 313 318-9009 Phone and text / dhartwell4@yahoo.com.
The Time Change Happened This Morning! Did you remember to fall back?
VOTE on Tuesday, November 6TH!

Holiday Scrip is Here! It is November and the holiday season has officially begun. Take the stress out of Christmas shopping and buy the perfect presents for everyone on your list—-gift cards from our Saint James SCRIP program. For each gift card you purchase, a percentage goes to Saint James. Pick up an order form and the extensive list of retailers from the information table across from the office. Place your order with Lynn Blanks (676-3967) or with Colleen in the office. Make checks payable to St. James SCRIP. Stress-free shopping for you; dollars earned for Saint James. A winning combination!
A Tree of Gratitude will be placed in the hallway and is open to all members. Please pick up a leaf, write down what you are thankful for, and tape it to the tree. This will be happening throughout the entire month of November. See Natalia Baker for more information.
Help Us Plan the 2019 Budget by filling out a pledge card and placing it in the church office, the church offering plate, or in an envelope addressed to 25150 East River, Grosse Ile, MI 48138. For your convenience an online pledge card can be found at www.saintjamesgi.net/pledge or through the giving portal on our website. Thank you.
Greens Market If you have Holly, Boxwood or Juniper bushes which need pruning, please hold off until the week before Greens Market work week so it will be fresh for us to use on special arrangements.
Electrical Help Is Greatly Needed! Minor electrical repairs are needed around the church. Plugs need to be moved, light fixtures need changing etc. We can pay “church rates”. Please call Jeff Faistenhammer at 810-923-3599 if you can help us out!

You are welcome to put your roasted, sliced and bagged turkey in the Soup Kitchen freezer, in the back room, anytime before Nov. 17th. Please label the bags. Whole turkeys or breasts are great.

We will be making “candy poppers”, with the Youth Groups soon to be holiday gifts for our guests. These treats will be passed out at our November 17th turkey dinner, at the Christmas Dinner (to be prepared and served by Sacred Heart on Sat. Dec. 15), as well as at our Christ/Net meal. We need individually wrapped candy for the poppers (left over Halloween candy), inside t.p. cardboard rolls, Christmas paper, zip ribbon and tape. There are boxes for these supplies under the Soup Kitchen bulletin boards.
Thank you so much for any help you can offer. Sincerely, Amy & Frank Kohair
