A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who helped to make this week’s Rummage Sale a success. This ministry helps the needy, helps those who need to lighten their load, and helps fund ministries at Saint James and around the world. As Jesus said, “Well done, good and faithful servants.”

Our Annual Blessing of the Animals will be held on the front lawn on Sunday, October 19, at 11:30am. Fr. Phil will personally gather with each family to lay hands on your pet and ask God’s blessing. The ceremony will last as long as pets are present. Please keep animals on leashes or otherwise restrained.

A Call for New Vestry members Each fall we choose a group of church members to meet monthly to guide the vision, maintenance and ministry of our church. A strong vestry includes people from every background, age, gender and skill set. If you are willing to help, or to nominate someone else, contact Andrew Johnson or Fr. Phil. Church directories can be found in the church office.

The Rev. Robert S. Shank, Jr., who served at Saint James’ 1962-1964, passed away on September 23rd, according to an obituary in the Free Press on Sept 30th.  A memorial service will be held at St. John’s in Plymouth on May 23rd, 2015.

We are Marshall (PG)

Life hit the West Virginia town of Huntington and its Marshall University hard when its football team was killed in a plane crash.  Jack Lengyel (Matthew McConaughey) was hired as the new coach to rebuild the team and motivate the players, breathing new hope into the city.  Based on an inspirational true story.
