HOLY SATURDAY FOR KIDS is an Easter Weekend spectacular! With a craft, snack, egg hunt, and Easter story, you get a full Easter experience in under an hour. PLUS, every household gets a special Easter gift valued at over $20! Bring kids, neighbors, friends, and family to church on Saturday, March 30 at 10:30am!

THE PALM SUNDAY REQUIEM CONCERT is going to be amazing! Choir members say the music is extraordinary—like nothing they’ve ever sung before. They’re excited for you to hear! Come to Saint James on Sunday, Mar 24, at 3pm to hear the Grosse Ile Ecumenical Choir’s Lenten concert.

“THE MIRACLE MAKER” is the Jesus film we will watch on Wednesday of Holy Week. It is roundly hailed as brilliant, beautiful, and poetic. It’s also great for kids! The church will provide Pizza, so all you have to do is come and see. The movie starts at 6:30 p.m. in Galloway Hall on the big screen on Wednesday, March 27.

THE NEXT MEN’S GROUP BREAKFAST is Sat, April 6th at the St. James Galloway Kitchen & Hall. We always have a great time sharing Stories, Memories, Prayer, and our development towards a higher awareness of Christ. Come at 8am for the cooking, 9am for eating and discussion!

FOOD DONATIONS FOR THE LENTEN CONCERT RECEPTION will be gladly accepted.  Any kind of finger food will work.  Talk to Collie LeClair, née Yan for more information.

THE SUNDAY BIBLE STUDY on the Book of Ephesians concludes this morning in the Fireplace Room from 9:05-9:50am.

THE MEN’S GROUP IS EMBARKING on a new fundraiser, and they invite your support.  They are selling commercial quality, 35’X48”, tables. You can see one in Galloway Hall.  If you are interested, please contact David Hartwell at 313-318-9009.

CHRISTNET IS RETURNING TO GROSSE ILE the week of Mar 31­-Apr 7.  Christnet provides food and shelter to Downriver homeless people through a rotating collection of churches. During Grosse Ile’s week, each church is responsible for at least one night. St. James is providing dinner and supervision on Monday, April 1. Please sign up on the Interfaith bulletin board in the main hallway. Thank you in advance😀! The guests arrive about 6:30pm, eat dinner, participate in an activity/or not, sleep and return to warming center in Taylor at 6:30am. St. Thomas Lutheran Church (Church and Meridian) will be hosting Christnet this time. If you have any questions, contact Jennifer Engel 734-552-3587 or Karen Overesch 734-552-3714.

ECLIPSE GLASSES are available on the Resource Table as long as supplies last. The eclipse is Moonday, Apr 8, from 1:50-4:30 p.m., (totality at 3:10).

FRIDAY FILL-UP EXPANDS!  
St. James Church partnership with Grosse Ile Schools continues to expand!  Our service project helps with childhood hunger on weekends.  We began in October with 6 children and are now at 13! We continue to need donations that are in “individualized serving containers” as all food item are sent home with students in a backpack.  We are in need of peanut butter and jelly in small size jars, milk in cardboard cartons that do not need to be refrigerated, soup, mac + cheese, cereal boxes, fresh fruit, etc.  Backpacks are assembled Friday morning in the small kitchen for delivery at 10:30 am.  Feel free to contact Mary Ann Danville.
