Several Wonderful VBS Helpers were accidentally omitted from the list announced several weeks ago:  Daniel Susan enthusiastically taught a hymn that still resounds in our brains.  Lynda VanEngelen floated and helped in most areas.  Ever faithful, Millie Miles worked preparing food. And youth helper Jessica Roekle assisted in games.  Sorry for the ommision and thank you for your loving service.

Rummage Sale Setup –  It Takes a Village!  Please swing by church on Saturday, September 26 from 9:00 am until about 11:00 am (just a few hours!) to help move furniture and prepare rooms for our Fall 2015 Rummage Sale. Many hands are needed to help distribute items. Work days are September 28 through October 1 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.  We especially need help on Tuesday that week, as there is a Garden Club luncheon that day that involves many of our normal faithful workers.  Volunteers are always welcome to work as much or as little as they can. Rummage is being accepted now.

If Feet Could Talk… A Clean Pair Of Whole Socks is something most of us take for granted.  But it is the most requested item at homeless shelters. Seeing this need, we are starting a sock drive this fall and plan to donate them around the Detroit Metro area this winter…in pairs on corners or in bunches at shelters. We hope you can help with this worthy effort, either by donating socks or by helping with the distribution. Look for the collection drum in the hallway after Rummage Sale.
