Since Easter of 2006 no sermons have been posted on this site because sermons have been preached without a manuscript; in practice Fr. Phil has chosen to stand at the top of the aisle and “tell” the sermon rather than reading from a text.  

 

This change was provisional through the Easter and summer seasons, but since reaction to this change has been strong and positive it will now continue as the standard homiletical practice of the church.  This new practice has been enjoyable to those in the pews, but is less great for a website that requires text for any posting.

 

Over the course of the Fall, Saint James is undertaking an update of our sound and recording system to improve audio quality.  This update, excitingly, will also make us able to record sermons easily and quickly post audio files to this site.

 

Until this comes to pass, we apologize, but we will not be able to provide sermons on the web.  We hope that the update will occur before the Christmas season.
