HAPPY SIXTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
Today we continue to hold two in-person services: 8am in the chapel and 10am in the main sanctuary. The day’s online service can always be found on our YouTube page through the link on our website or directly at http://youtube.com/c/saintjamesgi

A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR GORDON MILES is planned for 11am this Saturday, May 15, in the front lawn of Saint James. Please bring your own lawn chairs, if possible. Folding chairs will be available. Masks and social distancing will be observed. 

WE START TO GET BACK TO NORMAL this month! Beginning on Pentecost, May 23, the Saint James office will reopen for normal hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (9-3). Fr. Phil will be available for appointments and pastoral care visits any time. 10am services will move outdoors through September. Church committees can have in-person meetings outside (with masks and distancing) and even inside if small or *especially* careful. It’s not “all the way” back to normal, but it’s a significant step! Please get the vaccine and remain careful so we can keep taking these steps back toward the good old days we know and love.

WEARING RED can be fun on Pentecost! This year the holiday falls on Sunday, May 23.

10AM SUNDAY SERVICES WILL MOVE OUTSIDE on Sunday, May 23, for Pentecost and every Sunday afterwards. Please bring your own lawn chairs, if possible. (Folding chairs will be available.) The main sanctuary will be our rain/cold backup, as needed.

OUTDOOR SET-UP TEAM – When our Sunday Services move outside we will need help to move the piano, push the chair cart, carry the altar, and set up the speakers and sound system. PAINT A PEACE POLE Grosse Ile Alliance for the Arts invites you to come and paint a peace pole.  It will take place on June 26, 2021 from 10:00AM – 2:00PM at St. James Church.  $35 – GIAA members. $40 Non-members. Primed pole, paint, and brushes are provided.
