REGISTRATION IS LIVE FOR VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL! Find it here: www.saintjamesgi.net. This year we’ll focus on Compassion and the Love of Christ, using games, stories, music, science, and crafts. Hold the dates of August 9-13, from 9:00a-11:30a. Youth helpers should also register online. Adult helpers, please reach out to Erica Benson in person or at ericabenson101@gmail.com.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL WORK DAYS: We need your help to get things ready for VBS! Come hang out, chat, and help us prepare crafts, decorations, and more! Below is our schedule of work days:

WHILE FR. PHIL IS AWAY ON VACATION, pastoral care needs can be addressed to Jim Holubka, our Pastoral Care director. Office needs can be addressed to Colleen our secretary. Administrative needs can be addressed to Mark Ferguson, our Senior Warden. Fr. Phil returns on July 30. August will mark his 17-year anniversary with us at Saint James!
THE OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED the week of July 19th, as the entire staff will be away on vacation. The Wednesday service will happen as scheduled at 10:15am.
MORE FREE OPEN BOOK THEATRE! The play, “Advantage Rule” is being offered by Open Book actors this Sunday night, July 11, 2021 at 7pm on the Grosse Ile Commons at the corner of Meridian and Macomb. Bring your lawn chair! (ADVANTAGE RULE: Charlie and Laura disagree on who has the advantage – men or women. But when they magically switch bodies while watching a soccer game, the question of “ball in and out of bounds” takes on a whole new meaning.) Sponsored by the Grosse Ile Alliance for the Arts
COME AND PAINT A BIRDHOUSE on July 31 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. This is a Grosse Ile Alliance for the Arts event. $30 for members. $35 for non members. Held right here at St. James! Cost includes the Bird House, paint, and brushes. Bring your own lunch! Space is limited so make to register soon!
