ANNOUNCEMENTS

HAPPY LAST SUNDAY OF EASTER!
Today we have two in-person services: 8am in the chapel and 10am OUTSIDE, or in the main sanctuary if it’s sprinkling. Today’s online service is found here: http://youtube.com/c/saintjamesgi

A MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR JAY TISSOT is planned for Saturday, June 19 at, in the front lawn of Saint James. Please bring your own lawn chairs, if possible. Folding chairs will be available. Masks and social distancing will be observed.

WE START TO GET BACK TO NORMAL this month: Beginning on Pentecost, May 23, the Saint James office will reopen for normal hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays (9-3). Fr. Phil will be available for appointments and pastoral care visits any time. 10am services will move outdoors through September. Church committees can have in-person meetings outside and even inside if small or *especially* careful. It’s not “all the way” back to normal, but it’s a significant step back! Please get the vaccine and remain careful so we can keep working our way back to the good old days we remember and love.

WEAR RED next Sunday if you want to get into the mood for Pentecost 🙂

OUR “UNITED THANK OFFERING” IN-GATHERING will be held on Pentecost, May 23rd and Trinity Sunday, May 30th. Please turn in your blue boxes either Sunday. UTO envelopes will also be available for donations of cash or checks made out to ‘St. James ECW’.  The funds collected are used to provide grants both domestically and abroad to help alleviate profound human suffering. UTO is an outreach of the Episcopal Church that encourages us to deposit change in our ‘blue box’ year round as we give thanks for all of our blessings.  For more information check out www.episcopalchurch.org/uto  Thanks! WEDNESDAY MORNING EUCHARIST SERVICES are at 10:15am in the chapel every week and on Zoom. Find the Zoom service at http://tinyurl.com/sjgi-zoom

10AM SUNDAY SERVICES ARE MOVING OUTSIDE – Please bring your own lawn chairs, if possible. The main sanctuary will be our rain/cold backup.

A NEW MINISTRY IS BORN! Having services outside takes a bit of extra work. Carts need to be moved, the piano needs to be pushed outside, cones need to be set up, the altar table needs to be put in place, and electronics need to be connected. Then after service these things need to be returned to the building. Please reach out to our Minister of Music Jim Johnson to be put on a schedule to help! His email: music@saintjamesgi.net
